Will meals be provided for campers?

Yes, lunch will be provided to all campers.  They will be eating on campus in a cafeteria.

What is a typical day like?

Camp begins at 9:00 am and ends at 3:30 pm, daily.

Marquette’s Camp is geared towards providing instruction to its campers through a fun and exciting atmosphere. The camp will teach your child skills including passing, shooting, ball-handling and individual development.

Along with daily instruction and skill-building, campers will hear from guest speakers who have succeeded in the basketball world. Past speakers have included former Marquette players and current NBA players such as Steve Novak and Wesley Matthews.

Daily contests including free throw shooting, 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 games, as well as hot shot and dunk competitions which allow campers to learn team work and engage in fun competition.

If parents are interested in watching their son throughout the week, they are welcome to do so.  A daily schedule is available just inside the Al McGuire Center Doors at “Camp Central” so they can identify the location of their child throughout the week.

Will there be medical staff at the camp?

Certified trainers will be present at all times during camp. If your child has any medical condition or limitation, such as asthma or specific allergies, please let our staff know. Trainers will be informed and will be responsible for all medications during camp.

Our experienced, certified trainers are present to ensure your child has a safe and enjoyable time at camp.

What are camp cash cards?

Camp Cash Cards are considered the equivalent of cash at Marquette Basketball Camps and are available for campers who prefer the alternative to carrying cash all day. Camp Cash Cards are available for purchase any time during camp and are available in denominations of $10. The child will be responsible for the card throughout the week, though their name will be on the card in case of loss.

Cards can be attached to shoes or gym shorts and can be used to purchase snacks, drinks and gear from the camp store.  Refunds will not be given to remaining balances left on Camp Cash Cards.

Can my son be on the same team as his friends or for a carpool?

Campers can request to be on the same team as friends or other campers in their carpool. If they wish to be on the same team as another camper, they should let the camp director know on the first day of camp.

While we try to accommodate campers, it is important to Marquette Basketball to provide the best camp experience by evenly matching ages and skill levels to arrange for the best level of competition. For this reason, we encourage all campers to remain on the teams to which they have been drafted.

What if my son has to leave early?

Please inform camp staff at the beginning of the day if your child needs to leave early.  Your child will be escorted to the Al McGuire Center to be picked up at the necessary time.

What happens on the last day of camp?

The last day of camp is Championship Friday. Championship Friday includes tournament games as well as an awards ceremony.

Parents are encouraged to attend all tournament games as well as the awards ceremony. After the awards ceremony, at approximately 3:00 PM, Marquette players will be signing autographs.

Camp will conclude before autograph signing so all campers are free to leave. If campers want to stay for autographs, it will end between 3:30 and 4:00 pm.
